USB C port - cable wiggles. Is that normal? | Android Central
Oct 14, 2018 · I realized that the adapter did not wiggle around, I could move it a tiny bit vertically and an even a tinier bit horizontally. On the other hand, the USB type-C cable (the one that came with the box) could wiggle around a lot. I think that's the problem with the slow charging thing. Last edited: Dec 9, 2018.

Feb 20, 2014 · Short answer is yes - an extension cable (or replacement) can negatively affect charging rates. Any extra resistance anywhere in the charge path will lower the rate. Yea, you're right, I didn't read the post properly, the simple answer for the OP is to buy a long replacement charger cable rather than use an extension cable.

Last night I unplugged the usb-c charging cable from the phone and it was smoking. The rubber around the had plug melted.
