HDS Wiring Question - Lowrance Electronics - In-Depth Outdoors
Jun 2, 2011 · HDS Wiring Question. There are 2 cables coming off the power/data cable. One is the network, I assume I can tape that off. I am also hooking up the structure scan but nothing else. The other is the power cable and it has a black (-), red (+), and a yellow (accessory wake up line). I am running the black and red wires into my fuse box.

The yellow wire can be. connected to an open accessory switch at the boat’s console, to the yellow wire on. your HDS power cable, or directly to the battery. The blue wire will not be used.

They have pics that tell you exactly what the wires are and what they are for. My guess is you should only have to use two of the three wires, but it depends on how your system is set up.

August 2, 2022 at 8:35 am #2138930. Definitely turn on the display for voltage. It’s also possible you have a bad battery. Check the voltage at the battery and at the Lowrance plug. The units should run flawlessly at 10.5v or more but you really should be getting 11-12v+ all the time.
