Wicked and Gladiator 2 — aka Glicked, according to entertainment industry hopefuls desperate for a repeat of last year’s Barbenheimer box office behemoth — have each enjoyed huge launches. According to Variety,

"Wicked," the first of two Universal Pictures (CMCSA.O) films based on a Broadway prequel to "The Wizard of Oz," topped the domestic and global box office. It pulled in $114 million at U.S. and Canadian theaters, plus $50.2 million in international markets, for a global total of $164.2 million.
