VCU shot 36% (10 of 28) from beyond the arc, and assisted 15 of its 28 made baskets. Rams led for 39 minutes.  The Rams continued to hold the Hurricanes at arms length down the stretch, displaying the late-game control they lacked in the first two games in Charleston.

The Miami men's basketball team is struggling and only has one game remaining in the 2024 Charleston Classic against VCU. It's another quality tournament team that could give the Canes some trouble like the last.

Kobe Sanders tied a season high with 27 points as Nevada claimed fifth place in the Charleston Classic with a 90-78 victory over Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon in South Carolina.
