The Trinamool Congress (TMC) secured victory in all six assembly bypolls, signaling a potential recovery of its urban vote bank. The party emphasized its commitment to public welfare and highlighted the replication of its social welfare schemes by the BJP in other states.

The “lies and falsehood” peddled against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee by opposition parties BJP and CPI(M) failed to sway the electorate in West Bengal, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) claimed on Saturday after sweeping all six assembly seats in the bypolls.

The ruling party saw an increased victory margin in all seats that saw bypolls, which were necessitated after sitting MLAs were elected to the Lok Sabha

For the first time, the Trinamul Congress (TMC) captured the seat, with TMC candidate Jayprakash Toppo defeating his nearest rival, BJP’s Rahul Lohar, by a margin of 28,168 votes. Historically, this Assembly segment was under the control of the Left until the BJP gained dominance.
