The Hero World Challenge is enjoying a special year in 2024. Tiger Woods will be the tournament host for the 25th time this week, as his event heads to Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas for the annual season-silly kickoff. A field of 20 golfers will battle it out over 72 holes of stroke play to determine a winner.

NASSAU, The Bahamas—Tony Finau has pulled out of the Hero World Challenge. Finau was removed from Tiger Woods’ exhibition event in the Bahamas on Sunday night. As of Monday morning no reason was given from Finau or the PGA Tour for his withdrawal.

Woods and O’Meara have been friends since the early stages of the former’s career. And O’Meara got the better of his pal in the final of the 1998 Cisco World Match Play Championship at the age of 41 after overcoming a deficit to win the tournament.

The Hero World Challenge, hosted by Tiger Woods, is a 20-man event at Albany with some pretty good silly season money on the line. The four-day, 72-hole, stroke-play tournament is contested at Albany Golf Club in Nassau,
