Authorities have begun clearing flood damage caused by Storm Bert in Wales. Footage shows firefighters responding to the storm's aftermath in the flooded streets of Treherbert and dealing with overwhelmed drainage systems on November 24.

At least five people have died as Storm Bert swept across the United Kingdom, causing power outages and widespread train and flight cancelations.

People were seen bailing out flooded properties with buckets and bins, rescuing dogs and wading through the water to deal with the damage caused by the severe weather seen over the weekend

More rain is due to fall on Tuesday and Wednesday in southern England and south Wales, where flooding and high winds from Storm Bert have caused major disruption to homes, roads and rail networks.

Storm Bert left a trail of disruption across the UK, with hundreds of flood warnings in place for Wales and the west of England.
