Rays still not sold on stadium deal after Pinellas bond vote
Pinellas County is ready to proceed with a bond sale to help fund a new Tampa Bay Rays stadium, but the team is still unwilling to cover cost overruns, putting the whole deal in jeopardy. On Tuesday, commissioners voted 5-2 to advance the sale of $312.5 million in bonds. Commissioners Vince Nowicki and Chris Scherer cast the dissenting votes.
