The ICC faces a daunting challenge following the PCB's direct response to India’s refusal to cross the border for the 2025 Champions Trophy

Even though the ICC is yet to announce the final schedule of the Champions Trophy, it flew the trophy to Pakistan on Thursday for a tour of the country beginning November 16. According to a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official,

The PCB has written to the ICC and asked them to provide a written confirmation from the BCCI that they are unable to play the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, as well as giving a reason for it.

The official schedule for the 2025 ICC Champions trophy which is scheduled to take place in Pakistan in February-Match next year is still to be revealed as the BCCI has refused to send Team India to for the tournament.

The sources further revealed that the PCB has made it clear in the letter that the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, and that the hybrid model (which involves splitting the tournament between multiple countries) will not be accepted. The PCB questioned why India was refusing to travel to Pakistan while other teams were willing.
