Crimson Tide guard Mark Sears led the way with 24 points on the evening, but his 18-point second-half effort with three-made 3-point shots kept Alabama alive for the Player's Era

Alabama got strong play from its other guards: Labaron Philon, Latrell Wrightsell Jr. and Aden Holloway. Philon scored 16 points, grabbed seven rebounds and tallied nine assists. Wrightsell Jr. also scored 16 but had two rebounds and four assists. Then Holloway scored 18 and made 3 of 4 from deep.

Both coming off of OT games the night before, Alabama basketball and Rutgers meet for a late slate contest at the Players Era Festival on Wednesday.
