Secretary with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Sumita Dawra, has announced plans to enable EPFO subscribers to withdraw money from their provident fund accounts directly via ATMs starting next year.

Labour Secretary Sumita Dawra announced that EPFO members can withdraw funds from ATMs from January 2025. Employees' Provident Fund Organisation subscribers will be able to withdraw their provident funds directly from ATMs from January 2025, ANI reported on Wednesday quoting Labour Secretary Sumita Dawra.

Labour Ministry Secretary Sumita Dawra said the Labour Ministry is currently improving its IT systems to provide better services to workers in India.

The planned measure is likely to enable claimants, beneficiaries, and insured individuals to access their PF funds with minimal human intervention.

Highlighting ongoing IT system upgrades to enhance services, Dawra stated that claims are being settled swiftly, and an easier process will be implemented from January 2025 onwards.
