During halftime of Saturday’s football game between Clemson and The Citadel, the head referee approached Bulldogs coach Maurice Drayton and made him an offer. Clemson was leading The Citadel 35-0 at Memorial Stadium, and there was an option to shorten the game by cutting the remaining two quarters to 10 minutes.

The Clemson football team got the no-doubt result it was hoping for on Saturday afternoon, cruising past FCS opponent The Citadel, 51-14, with little resistance at Memorial Stadium during a senior day game that finished under the lights.

Clemson scored its second touchdown vs. The Citadel thanks to DL Payton Page's 57-yard pick six. It was his first career interception and touchdown.
