After months of campaign ads, Americans finally get to choose the next president of the United States. But that’s not all, voters will also be deciding on several other important races and propositions Tuesday.

Proposition 4 would authorize $10 billion in general obligation bonds for safe drinking water, wildfire prevention, and protecting communities and natural lands from climate risks, increasing state costs of about $400 million annually for 40 years to repay the bond. NBCLA's Conan Nolan explains.

California offers same-day voter registration, also known as conditional voter registration, as a way to help ensure all eligible voters have the opportunity to cast a vote on Election Day — even if they missed the Oct. 21 deadline.
