The fourth AP Top 25 poll of the 2025-26 season was released Monday, and despite pushes from Arizona and Michigan, Purdue remains the No. 1 team in the country. The Boilermakers have been at the top of the poll for the last three weeks -- with the lone exception coming when Houston jumped Purdue in the first in-season poll.
Vanderbilt women's basketball moved up two spots to No. 15 in the AP Poll after winning the Paradise Jam tournament over the holiday break. The Commodores (8-0) defeated Oregon State, 88-66, and BYU, 84-71. Mikayla Blakes was named tournament MVP after performances of 35 and 27 points.
As a result, Michigan jumped four spots in this week’s poll to No. 3. Auburn, which bounced back with a win over St. John’s after losing to Michigan, moved up to No. 20. Gonzaga, which had looked very solid up until this point, also moved up a single spot to No. 11.
