Woolery hosted “Wheel of Fortune” from 1975 through 1981, and then hosted “Scrabble” from 1984 through 1990 and for one more season in 1993. He was, perhaps, best known for his run as the host of “Love Connection” from 1983 through 1994.

Woolery was inducted into the American TV Game Show Hall of Fame in 2007 and earned a daytime Emmy nomination in 1978.
