The move to bring Shannon back to the Timberwolves comes a day after Minnesota sent forward Leonard Miller down to Iowa just days after recalling him. Shannon hasn't seen many minutes for the Timberwolves this season, but is a promising rookie who at 24 years old can likely provide value for the team sooner rather than later.

Timberwolves rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. followed up a strong debut in the G League with another productive showing on Friday with Iowa.

The rookie was assigned to the Iowa Wolves on Tuesday, playing two games with the G League affiliate. Shannon Jr. dominated in those two games, averaging 33 points on 46.7% shooting, four rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
