Mumbai: NCP-SP leader and actor Swara Bhasker’s husband, Fahad Ahmad, made a bold statement, declaring he would not contest elections for the next 20 years if Prime Minister Narendra Modi wins an election conducted through ballot papers.

Swara Bhasker recently addressed her husband Fahad Ahmad's loss in the Maharashtra elections, following a challenging campaign. After initially criticizing the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Swara took to social media to accept the defeat in a heartfelt and viral post.

Fahad lost the Anushakti Nagar Assembly seat by a margin of 3,300 votes to veteran politician Nawab Malik's daughter Sana Malik, a candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Actor Swara Bhasker questioned the Election Commission over EVM after her husband Fahad Ahmad received 45,963 votes, losing to Sana Malik, who secured 49,341 votes, by a margin of 3,378 votes.

Samajwadi Party leader and actor Swara Bhasker`s husband Fahad Ahmad, who joined the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar), was fielded from the Anushakti Nagar seat against Sana Malik of NCP (Ajit Pawar).

NCP (SP) candidate Fahad Ahmad has levelled EVM manipulation charges after losing to Sana Malik by 3,378 votes.

On November 23, Swara ranted about Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) being faulty as her husband, Fahad Ahmad lost from Anushakti Nagar in Mumbai. Today, the actress posted a message, accepting the defeat.
