Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has got off to a flying start on mobile devices, but one feature trainers have been unable to access at launch is trading. It was previously mentioned trading would not be available at launch and now in an update The Pokémon Company has confirmed it will be released early next year in January 2025.

Pokémon TCG Pocket's plan to add fresh booster packs before the end of 2024 lines up with a recent datamine which suggested at least one additional pack would arrive in December, before a fully-fledged new expansion due on 29th January next year.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has been a big hit since its worldwide launch last month, and the team behind it has shared a brief roadmap of a couple updates to come — including the ability to trade cards with other people.

Players will be able to trade certain cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket after the January update, and the feature will expanded over time.

The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon TCG Pocket will be getting new features like trading and extra booster packs in future updates.
