TCU coach Sonny Dykes was ejected from the Horned Frogs’ game at SMU on Saturday after drawing two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties at the start of the second half.

TCU coach Sonny Dykes was ejected from the Horned Frogs' 66-42 loss to rival SMU on Saturday after earning consecutive unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the third quarter. Dykes became the first head coach of a Power 4 program to be disqualified from a college football game for multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties since the NCAA established the rule in 2016.

The TCU football program engaged in a heated matchup with the SMU Mustangs on Saturday evening. The Mustangs got out to a commanding lead, leaving head coach Sonny Dykes searching for answers. Dykes got frustrated a few times during the game and was ultimately ejected.

Brashard Smith ran for 127 yards and three of his four scores while SMU also had three non-offensive touchdowns for the first time in 12 years in a 66-42 win over TCU.

Emotions were running extremely high for TCU head coach Sonny Dykes during Saturday's game against SMU, so high that he was thrown out of the game by the officials after being penalized. Officials ejected Dykes from the sideline after receiving back-to-back unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the game.
