The new MacBook Pro is faster than ever and features a handful of upgrades that may or may not mean a huge deal to you.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro, like the previous model, features a 16.2-inch, 3,456 x 2,234-pixel resolution display with ProMotion technology (i.e., up to 120Hz refresh rate). As expected, the display looked gorgeous while I feasted my eyes on the new Squid Game 2 trailer. It's rich, vibrant, and pure visual eye candy.

I'm going to be primarily discussing the 16-inch version of the new MacBook Pro here; if you're more interested in its little brother the M4 MacBook Pro 14-inch, just click that link for our coverage of the smaller laptop.

The biggest reason to upgrade to the MacBook Pro M4 is the performance. This machine gets the newest M4 chip that is based on a 3-nanometer process, promising the fastest CPU core and better multithreaded performance than M3. Based on our testing, the M4 blows a lot of the competition away but not on every test.

They were launched less than two months ago, they are outstanding products, and yet Amazon is offering substantial discounts on them.
