Juan Soto has dominated the first few weeks of the MLB offseason, and he deserves to do so. Excluding Shohei Ohtani, he’s the most highly sought-after free agent since Alex Rodríguez more than 20 years ago.

Soto, the top free agent on the market, told Yankees chairman and managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner, team president Randy Levine, general manager Brian Cashman, manager Aaron Boone and senior adviser Omar Minaya how he believes the club could improve, according to Bob Klapisch of NJ Advance Media.

Aaron Judge said he hasn’t spoken to Juan Soto since the New York Yankees lost in the World Series in late October, but he’s come up in conversation with owner Hal Steinbrenner. “He knows how we feel about him,” Judge said.
