The Google TV Streamer goes on sale tomorrow (September 24) for $99/ £99 / AU$159. It’s available in porcelain white or hazel gray. There aren’t any other storage options, though the 32GB that’s included is four times that of the $49 Chromecast with Google TV, which it’s replacing.

If you added the Google TV Streamer to an existing smart home, your smart home devices automatically appear on the Google Home panel. If you don't see them, restart your Google TV Streamer or set up a new smart home and the devices again through the Google Home app.

If you’re already comfortable with Google's Chromecast, the switch to the TV Streamer will be a smooth experience as the GoogleTV interface remains the same between the two devices. It’s also going to feel a lot snappier and responsive.

One of the features from this new device, the Home Hub, is being made available to existing Google TV devices through an impending software update. The Home Hub won't be able to locally control Matter devices on other Google TV units,
