The food pyramid was created to show people how to eat a “balanced” diet. At the bottom, it recommended eating 6 to 11 servings of grains each day – like bread, pasta, rice and cereal.
“The bottom of the pyramid includes rest, recovery, sleep, hydration and nutrition – if all of those basic things are right, you can then start to put everything else on top of it.
