BMW bumps the M3 Competition xDrive’s output to 523 hp, which is a 20 hp increase over the current model. BMW says the M3 Competition with xDrive can sprint to 60 mph in only 3.4 seconds.
That is 50 hp more than the base M3 sedan, 20 above the rear-wheel drive M3 Competition, 20 less than the new M3 CS, and 30 hp behind the 3.0 CSL.
With the optional powertrain, the BMW M3 Competition sheds off .4 seconds off its 0-60 time. The M3 CS brings considerably more power to drivers than the base model.
The lineup kicks off from $76,000 with the rear-wheel drive variant that enjoys 473 horsepower from its 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six and takes 4.1 seconds to push to 60 mph (97 kph).
