SALT LAKE CITY – Sidney Crosby scored with 1:06 left in overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Utah Hockey Club 3-2 at Delta Center on Wednesday.
Sidney Crosby scored at 3:54 of overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Utah Hockey Club 3-2. Marcus Pettersson and Erik Karlsson scored in regulation as Pittsburgh snapped a three-game losing streak.
After Keller recovered the puck for Utah's first possession in overtime, it took only seconds before Utah got its only goal shot of the period. With Utah's Barrett Hayton slapping the ice to call for the puck, Sergachev passed to Hayton right in front of Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic.
Cole was involved in the Derick Brassard trade in 2018, which effectively was the day the music died on the Penguins’ mini-dynasty. He has since played for Columbus, Colorado, Minnesota, Carolina, Tampa Bay and Vancouver. This summer, he made his way to Salt Lake City.

The Utah Hockey Club announced Friday afternoon that centre Logan Cooley will be out indefinitely with a lower-body injury. The team stated that he will be reevaluated at the conclusion of the 4 Nations Face-Off break.
The Utah Hockey Club has had an injury-filled year on its defence for most of this season. Michael Kesselring and Ian Cole are the only two defencemen to play in all 50 games.
