TAMPA, Fla. — Jurors in Florida are deliberating Wednesday in the trial of four activists accused of illegally acting as Russian agents to help the Kremlin sow political discord and interfere in U.S. elections.

The Republican Party of Florida suspended the Manatee County Republican Executive Committee weeks after shocking primary election day results.

Other officials named in the filing are Florida's attorney general and the secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he supports a ballot initiative in Florida that would legalize recreational use of marijuana for adults ages 21 years and older.

The Florida Young Republicans have endorsed the state's recreational marijuana ballot measure.

Justices could have dismissed the complaint. Instead, they ordered a state agency to respond to the allegations.
