The U.S. Postal Service has temporarily suspended mail service to Canada amid an ongoing national strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, which represents workers for the country’s primary postal service.

At a time when many people are sending gifts far and wide in time for the holiday season, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) advised customers Friday that it will immediately pause the international shipping of packages to Canada due to an ongoing national strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

Mail services from the Isle of Man to Canada have been suspended due to a mass strike of postal workers in the country. The walk out by members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers in a dispute over pay began in mid-November.
