Shreyas Iyer revealed that he wasn't originally in the starting XI and only learned late at night that he would be playing, replacing the injured Virat Kohli.

Shreyas Iyer made a statement with his tremendous of 59 off just 36 deliveries in the first game which swung the game in India's favour during their chase. Iyer came in after India lost both their openers - Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

However, he didn't divulge who among openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer would be dropped if Kohli returns.
