The renewable-energy arm of state-controlled power company NTPC raised 100 billion rupees in the offering.

The shares of NTPC Green Energy are set to debut on Dalal Street today (November 27). While the IPO garnered strong interest from retail investors, the current grey market premium (GMP) indicates a potentially subdued listing.

Delhi-based NTPC Green Energy is selling its shares in the price band of Rs 102-108 apiece. Investors can apply for a minimum of 138 shares and its multiples thereafter.

Backed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), the green energy arm of NTPC, one of the largest renewable energy public sector enterprises in India, saw its stock jump to Rs 122.65 per share on the NSE by 1pm local time, up 13.56% from a listing price of INR 111.50.

Following a Rs 10,000-crore IPO that was subscribed 2.42 times, NTPC Green Energy made its stock market debut on Wednesday.

NTPC Green Energy’s IPO debuted on November 27 at ₹111.5 on NSE, a 3.2% premium over the issue price. The IPO, valued at ₹10,000 crore, saw strong demand, closing 2.55 times oversubscribed, with retail investors booking 3.

The IPO is all set to hit the bourses – NSE and BSE – on November 27. It was launched on November 19 and closed on November 22. The IPO raised Rs 10,000 crore from investors. The issue was subscribed to a total of 2.

NTPC Green Energy, the renewable energy arm of state-owned NTPC , garnered bids worth 154.06 billion rupees ($1.83 billion) on Friday for its $1.2 billion initial public offering, as investors bet on the country's growing clean energy needs.
