The Met Office has issued a fresh weather update as Britain gets battered by 385 flood warnings after 10 people were rescued from a landslide in North Wales. The UK's national weather service issued six weather warnings - stretching from North West Scotland to the South East of England - after days of sub-zero temperatures brought snowfall to parts of the country.

Heavy rain and thawing snow will combine to create storm chaos on Sunday with the Met Office warning of possible flooding in several UK areas.

THE Met Office has activated nine weather warnings, including two amber warnings, as Storm Bert batters the nation. Virtually every area of the country is covered by alerts for snow, rain or ice.
