The Buccaneers are in Group C in the Champions League alongside record winners and reigning champs Al Ahly of Egypt, Ivorian giants Stade d’Abidjan and Belouizdad.

Orlando Pirates must continue their job after qualifying for the CAF Champions League. The tournament started with 64 teams in the preliminary rounds, then 32 teams before the group stage which has 16 teams in four groups. Orlando Pirates managed to qualify.
