One person is dead after a shooting Friday afternoon in the Marion-Franklin neighborhood. Columbus police responded to a call about 1 p.m. of a shooting near Lockberry Road and Southfield Drive. One person was found injured and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

A Columbus police SWAT team was surveilling Ricardo Ramirez, a suspect in a fatal shooting when a K-9 officer attempted a traffic stop on his car just after 3 p.m. Wednesday in an apartment complex parking lot in the 6000 block of Cooper Colony Drive. Ramirez was a passenger, and an unidentified female drove the car, police said.
