Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday won three Assembly by-polls - Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak and Chabbewal – which were earlier held by the Congress, but lost Barnala seat to the grand old party.

Chandigarh : In the Punjab Assembly by-elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won three out of four seats. AAP won Gidderbaha, Chabbewal and Dera Baba Nanak assembly seats in the by-poll. These three seats were previously held by the Congress.

Pritpal Sharma, the AAP candidate who had unsuccessfully contested Gidderbaha in 2017, resigned from the party and switched to the BJP after Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon was declared as the AAP candidate.
