William Saliba believes he is one of the best defenders in the world, although the Arsenal star admits there is one thing he is lacking before he can truly be considered amongst the elite.

Arsenal star William Saliba started for France against Belgium in their 2-0 win, and his country's media have now reacted to his performance.

Arsenal centre-back, William Saliba has said that just one thing is stopping him from being recognised as the best defender in the world. The Frenchman said he has not been able to win any silverware which would make people see how good he is.

However, it was a different story on Monday evening when France beat Belgium 2-0 at home. France manager Didier Deschamps rang the changes after losing 4-1 to Italy, and both Saliba and Konate were among the only players to start both games.

William Saliba believes he is currently one of the top players on the planet but is ‘missing’ one thing from becoming the undisputed ‘best defender in the world’.

The Arsenal star has been a rock at the back since becoming a mainstay in Mikel Arteta's side in the 2022-23 season.
