NEW ORLEANS — One person is dead after a shooting in the Tremé /Lafitte area Friday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department. Police said the shooting happened in the 2300 block of Orleans Avenue around 8 p.m. NOPD found three people who had been shot — two women and one man. One of the victims died at the scene.
The second shooting also happened in Central City in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue at 6:58 p.m. NOPD officers believed this was the result of an aggravated burglary. The last shooting happened hours later at 10:08 p.m. in Algiers. Officers said a man was shot in the 3200 block of Texas Drive.
