Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has received a standing ovation in an emotional return to the ballroom. The professional dancer, who has been on the hit BBC show since 2017, was notably absent from last year's series after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

This year’s contestants faced their first Strictly Come Dancing live show – and for the most part, came away victorious. Paul and Karen’s American smooth to Vindaloo was a dance for the ages. Toyah and Neil’s tango was also iconic but for slightly different reasons.
