Dylan Raiola threw for 293 yards and a touchdown, Dante Dowdell ran for three scores and Nebraska beat Wisconsin 44-25 on Saturday to become eligible for a bowl for the first time since 2016.

Nebraska became eligible for a bowl for the first time since 2016 after beating Wisconsin for the first time in eleven meetings on Saturday.

The Huskers had been 0-8 with bowl eligibility on the line under Matt Rhule. Wisconsin lost its fourth straight.

It was a double header for the Huskers and Wisconsin. The football teams went head-to-head first resulting in a 44-25 victory, and then it was volleyball's turn.

Wisconsin has only been swept twice all season – both to Nebraska. This also marks the first time Nebraska swept both matches over Wisconsin since 2012. With the loss, Wisconsin moves to 13-22-1 all-time against the Huskers and 4-12 in Lincoln.
