With 15 newly minted Michelin Stars, Texas—renowned for its stellar barbecuse, Tex-Mex and tacos–has now officially been recognized as an international culinary hub.

Michelin announced it's first-ever list of best restaurants in Texas and more than 100 restaurants were honored on Monday night.

In a historic evening for Texas restaurants, Michelin handed out 15 stars to the brightest culinary talents in the state. Then, Texas restaurateurs and chefs braced themselves for the selection of 2- or 3-star restaurants.
