Some people watch the Super Bowl for the football, some for the commercials and some for the star-studded musical halftime show, which has come a long way since its wholesome Up With People days. It always features a superstar performer now,

“Lana” had a long road to release, with SZA first mentioning the deluxe edition of “SOS” in Dec. 2022. Over the next few years, she teased the album and previewed new songs at shows. At one point, she even scrapped it after a few songs leaked to the web.

The Lana website says new songs are coming on February 9 at 7 p.m. ET, which is shortly after the game’s kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET. Last month, SZA went back and forth with fans who were upset about the delay for the new songs.

SZA surprised fans with the release of the deluxe edition of her chart-topping album SOS, which already had a huge impact on the music scene. The deluxe version, titled Lana, includes 15 new songs that quickly became fan favorites.
