Ryan Blaney could see his second championship in a row within his grasp as he closed the gap on Team Penske teammate Joey Logano in the closing laps Sunday at Phoenix Raceway, but the defending Cup Series titleholder fell just short by 0.

It appears that Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney are just going to pass the Bill France Cup back and forth to one another. The Team Penske teammates finished 1-2 today at Phoenix in the race and in the NASCAR championship standings.

After 35 NASCAR Cup Series races, the whole 2024 season comes down to No. 36, Sunday’s championship race at Phoenix Raceway, where Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick and William Byron will race for the title.
