JACKSON - More than 2,000 Jersey Central Power and Light customers in the township were without power on Thanksgiving morning, the utility reported. Power was expected to be restored by 11:30 a.m., according to the JCP&L website. Outages were reported across a wide swath of Jackson, according to the utility's outage map.

Thousands woke up to no power in Greenwood, South Carolina, this Thanksgiving morning. Duke Energy is reporting about 4,000 customers without power in that area as of 8 a.m. The first outage was reported at 6:45 a.m. The estimated time for power to be restored is 10:45 a.m., according to the Duke Energy website.
