After a nearly three-hour standoff with SWAT, a man who barricaded himself inside an apartment in Pearland is now in custody, according to Pearland police.

A man was arrested at a Pearland apartment complex after a violent, multi-hour standoff that warranted authorities from multiple departments.

Police said it started around 8 a.m. Sunday morning after a concerned neighbor reported bullet hole damage on an apartment door. When Pearland police officers arrived at the scene, they tried to make contact with the suspect, but then shots were fired from inside the apartment, police said.

The Pearland Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying four suspects involved in a home invasion burglary that occurred in October.
