Could the New York Jets be the next major franchise to cut their quarterback? According to a bombshell report from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, there is some league speculation that the Jets could actually cut quarterback Aaron Rodgers before the season is over.

Rodgers has struggled this season, as he enters the Jets' bye week with a career-low 88.9 passer rating and 17 touchdown passes in 11 games. New York ranks 18th in the NFL with 207.2 passing yards per game and 26th in the league with an average of just 18.5 points per contest.

Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets' relationship will apparently not survive what has been a tumultuous season for both quarterback and team. Rodgers wants to play somewhere else in 2025, according to The Athletic,
