PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pitt's women's volleyball team is ready to kick off its quest for a national championship. Pitt has earned the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament for the first time in program history. The Panthers are set to host the first two rounds of the tournament and head into their first match with a 29-1 record.

As we lead up to the 2024 DI women's volleyball tournament, here are eight under-the-radar teams to look out for.

Pitt Panthers volleyball earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will host through to the Final Four (as long as they win), but the location for where they'll play is changing. The Panthers normally hosts the first two rounds at the Petersen Events Center and then plays both the Third Round (Sweet 16) and Quarterfinals (Elite Eight) matches at Fitzgerald Field House.

The Northeast Conference champions went 13-1 in their first year in the NEC. Now, the Cougars are navigating new territory in the postseason.

ASU volleyball finished the regular season as Big 12 champions and will stare down the next challenge with the NCAA Tournament coming to Tempe.

Florida A&M's volleyball team is headed to the Cornhusker State to take on No. 2 Nebraska in the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Rattlers clinched their spot after winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference (19-0).
