Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena. After the Crimson Tide’s second straight defeat, Alabama coach Nate Oats spoke to reporters. But his postgame press conference was cut short due to an arena fire alarm going off.

Alabama basketball is in a far better position with Nate Oats as head coach. Oats now owns Crimson Tide history.

Oats said he'd spoken to a longtime friend in the NBA who told him it's all down to getting back to fundamentals, including improvement in guarding one-on-one, boxing out, sprinting back and communicating. He added that leadership on that starts from the top down, including himself.

Nate Oats has instituted a zero-tolerance policy that will get Alabama basketball players subbed out. Oats proved it against Kentucky.
