Officials are suspending the search for 61-year-old Susan Lane-Fournier after four days of scouring the area in the Mount Hood National Forest where she is believed to have gone missing while hiking.

Oregon authorities have called off their search for a 61-year-old woman who went missing last week in the Mount Hood National Forest with her two dogs.

Search teams were back in Mount Hood National Forest on Tuesday looking for a 61-year-old hiker and her two Malinois-mix dogs. Susan Lane-Fournier, who also goes by the name “Phoenix,” was reported missing last week after failing to show up for work, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Rescue teams spent four days in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness, which is in the Mount Hood National Forest, trying to find any sign of the missing woman from Brightwood and her two dogs. But because of weather conditions and the “likelihood of survivability,” operations were called off, deputies said.
