The Italian Grand Prix at Monza will remain on the Formula One calendar at least until 2031 as part of a six-year extension to the existing agreement, which runs through 2025, Formula One said on Wednesday.

Formula 1 on Wednesday confirmed that the Italian Grand Prix will be hosted at Monza until 2031. Monza's existing contract ran until 2025 but F1 have announced the six-year extension after what it describes as "significant upgrades" being made to the premises ahead of the 2024 race, which was won by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

F1 has signed a new long-term contract with Monza, keeping the famous circuit on the calendar until 2031. The Autodromo Nazionale Monza track, 12 miles north of central Milan, has hosted the Italian Grand Prix every year bar one since the inception of the Formula One world championship in 1950.
