Here's a look at the rich history the track brings to racing and milestone moments that make it a real madhouse!

Bowman Gray Stadium is famous for its viral videos of short track fights and close quarters racing. From 1958 until 1971, the Winston-Salem facility hosted 29 races featuring NASCAR’s top series. The 30th will come this weekend with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray.

The first Cup race was held in 1958 and won by Bob Welborn. Rex White's six victories is the Cup Series record. Hall of Famer Glen Wood won four times — and logged a total of 29 victories across all divisions — and his sons remember the fun they had watching Daddy race at one of the most volatile circuits in NASCAR.
