Burnley are closing in on the permanent signing of right-back Kyle Walker from Manchester City. The England international, 35, is taking medical checks before completing what the newly-promoted Premier League club will regard as a significant coup.

All told over the course of his seven and a half seasons at the Etihad, Walker won 18 major honours, a haul comprising of six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two Community Shields, a UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker is closing in on a move to Burnley, sources have told ESPN. Walker is in talks about a two-year deal at Turf Moor. The move could be worth as much as £5 million to City if certain performance-related bonuses are met.
