The Falcons were on the verge of making the playoffs last season. What do they need to get them over the hump?

The Atlanta Falcons salary cap situation for the offseason has improved, but they're one of five teams that are still over it.  The Falcons only hold five picks in this year's NFL draft, so the money for contracts distributed between draft picks that make the team won't be too much of a burden to handle.

The NFL offseason is all fun and games when there's salary cap space available. However, tough decisions need to be made when money gets tight. Teams routinely cut star players while they're still productive due to financial reasons.
